While reading Uncle Willies post last evening around 9:00pm, there were some T-storms in the area, but not close, Could see the lightning flashes and hear far away rumbles. Well, here in Texas when the heat of the day goes away, some times these storms collapse rapidly, and create big gusts of winds. Wasn't giving it any attention and fully involved reading the post when all of a sudden all HeDoubbleL breaks out and the shed rocked with a LOUD bang. I broke out in a cold sweat, and dove for cover as I looked at the door and it looked like a BIG black and Blue spider had filled the door and was trying to get in.

My Grandson’s 6 foot enclosed trampoline had broke loose from the fence where I had used bungees to tether it, It was tossed across three cars (Looks like my Camry took the first blow, over the truck then crashed in to the top corner of my shop with the black net enclosure and a couple net support legs coming into the door.

Phew, what a rush!

I can understand that feeling! Had some freak winds around here a few times. Blows stuff all over the place! Sorry for the car damage!

Not worried about the 95 Camery, it has other dings. Thankfully the truck didn't get touched. Grandson's catch net is completely destroyed, he is upset. This is it before, When viewed almost upside down and a couple of the net supports sticking in the shop door it took a minuet to relize what it was.

I can see why the grandson would be upset. Gonna have to fix that for him!

Good to hear it was no worse than it was. I have seen straight line winds that you would for all the world think were tornados.

They can do a lot of damage and like you say come out of nowhere.

We had a dust devel earler in the day. My wife saw it come up the drive and curve behind the house, those are cool to watch. The 9:00pm blast was just that, out of no where a 40 - 50 one time gust. No rain :wallbanging:

I'm thankful you weren't standing outside trying to wrestle with that net.  Not to underestimate you, but I think you would have lost!

I'm glad that spider didn't get in.  Too bad you had some damage.  I'm glad all are safe.

I wish I could have snaped a picture of the spider, but was trying to hold down the easy up. The wind was over in 5 minuets
