Today was big sis's 47th birthday so brother, sis and I all met at moms for BBQ rib lunch and [coincidentally] some group motorcycle miles.  Sis been living in San Francisco for 15 years but recently moved back to Kansas City. She used to ride and owned a beautiful 1981 Honda CM400T  but sold it when she moved to CA because she said traffic was terrible and she refused to ride a two wheeler in "that mess".

Brother [the pilot of the family] has been to Oshkosh, WI for the big airplane meet for the last week.  He took his BMW bike to have wheels instead of driving his camper everywhere.  While in WI, he stumbled on an '84 Goldwing that was too good of a deal to pass on so he bought it and threw it on the trailer with the BMW bike.  He has never been real happy with the Beemer bike as it is a single cylinder and "buzzy" on his hands so he'd been looking for a bigger bike.

Sister saw the Beemer on brothers trailer and decided she should try it out.  I know she was on cloud nine and said it was the best birthday present she could have asked for.  We spent several hours on the bikes and had absolutely perfect weather.

I'm on the older Goldwing to your right.

Couple more pictures stolen from sis's facebook page this morning.  She text me early and said she overslept and missed her 6am flight out of KCI.  I told her she had been dreaming of motorcycles.

You can't beat a GoldWing for touring.

My 1st was a 1978....Put a sidecar on it and drove 6000 miles round trip to California and back with a wife and a 22 month old daughter. Probaby put 75,000 on that one.

I now have 2 Wings...Wife rides a 89 trike and I ride a 96 SE 2 wheeler.

I had a '78 almost identical to it. Gold wings aren't entirely trouble free and eventually the parts cost more than the bike is worth.
