Hey fellas, I'm new to the site and am suffering from the same issue. Just had the left side spindle break I the middle of mowing. Any heads up on another set of spindles? Lgt 165

Is it an open side or closed side as they use different LH spindles!

sorry only had the one extra set. check with the site sponsors, they might have some. as kenny pointed out; open or closed sided makes a difference. Good luck in your search, Tom

The top has broken on my closed side 165 due to steering force.  I am in the process of shopping it around to machinists to see about making a new one.  The spindle is still available from New Holland, but it is $265.

I'd check with Joe's outdoor power ( site sponsor)
I'd bet he's got one in stock.

I will do that, but want to see if I could get a new one made too.  A used one is just going to break like the old one.  I would like to start out fresh if I can do that for less than the $265 New Holland wants.

Mine spindle is currently at the machinist.  Will probably be stronger than new when finished.  He is center boring the old one and putting on a new kingpin section.  Then he will weld it up and turn it machine it back down.
