I am wondering if anyone on here lives in phoenix az. I have a deal working on a kubota d722-te motor from a guy there. I am a little bit leary about sending off a $1100 check to someone i've never met or dealt with. I cant find anything bad about him or his company but then again i cant find anything good either.
The business name is blue diamond corp. The guy's name is owen taylor.
Address is 515 E carefree hwy #403
Phoenix az

All im looking to get is someone to drop by and take a look at the motor i am getting and snap a pic for me just to make sure he is legit.
Anybody interested let me know. Thx. Tony

My ex wife lives there, but she is just as likely to take the money and run.

Let us know how you make out. I'd imagine there are not too many members in Arizona since there isn't much grass out there :D

thats kind of what I figured too but thought it was worth a shot. I mailed out the check today certified so at least I have another way to track the whole transaction.

Well after a little but if worry with this guy in phoenix i reluctantly sent him a check and hoped for the best.
It showed up yesterday just as described and all is well.
Now to get it home and fire it up "just because" then tear it apart for the build.
Plans are to port the head, balance the bottom end, install coated bearings, coat the pistons, hone and nikasil coat the cylinders, then work on the fuel system.

It will get all arp studs where possible. Like mains, rods, and head studs for sure.
  • KennyP and Nato77 have said thanks

There are still good folks in the world, although if I had been in your shoes I would have worried as well.  Glad things turned out well for you.

I am too. And may end up grabbing up the other 3 D722-TE motors he has just because from the lack of info on them. They must be fairly rare.

Well i brought it home this afternoon and after checking it all out and putting oil in it i got it running lickety split. Man does this motor run smooth. Way nicer than the 2cyl i have in the other tractor.
And the little turbo even whistles more than i was expecting.
I did find some shipping damage that bums me out but what do ya do... The thermostat housing got broke when the motor appeared to tip over on the pallet. It is probably only a $20.00 piece and should be no big deal. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1376790140.805821.jpg
