Here's a few updated views of the refresh job so far. Not sure how much I'll do with the body before the temps drop off, other than swapping some summer clothes for the upcoming seasonal gear.

Most of the body paint is there though somewhat faded and rustpatchy seems to have a metalic shimmer to it...can anyone confirm?

That's looking Very nice.

The brown on my 800 is a semi metallic dark brown.Best way to check is to clean a spot off under the hood.I found that cleaning the Inside of the dash behind the battery shows the best color for a match up.I wiped mine down with mineral spirits with a clean rag.Don't scrub it just wipe it down.

They did use different browns on different years, makes and models of Bolens tractors.

There was a paint code chart floating around on that other form a couple years ago but I can't seem to find anything over there now.

I really appreciate youz guys joining in this moment of reflection which verged on Gt blasphemy. I'm not really surprised by the words of reality and support for something that many out there (elsewhere) have not a clue or the slightest interest in. They would probably never understand until they got one or many of their own.

Which leads me to wonder why nobody offered any cheese to go with my whine-ing... :bigrofl:

I was purposefully driving along about 150 miles away from home this weekend, made a few stops and pulled into a gas station.,only to find I was being followed. To my amazement this is what I saw...

Somewhere along the way, somebody took my money and crammed my trailer with stuff !!!

Well, whatever it is, it has grown attached to you!!

Guys after shelling out 150 bucks this weekend, I guess the lightheadedness had me wondering about how/why I ended up in this type of stuff. I realize that some spend lots more and more often.

I guess I'm just trying to pick brains...Is anyone out there...!? :loosing_it:

its a shame to see people getting out of these stuff but im also glad to see younger generations getting into it,, im sorry you feel that way but I love my GT's since riding on my grandpops lap mowing the grass on the bolens 850 some of the best childhood memories I have

Your memories sound sweet. I'm not one of those people trying to get out, I'm one that just requires more space to accomodate my lil group and the ones I'd like to have. I don't feel that bad for all those who do part with their stuff as they enable others to get in on these oldies & goodies.
