We will can some tomorrow. We use them in winter time to cook up some good soup. I am going slice up some to eat tonight with some fried okra I picked today.

Yes, it makes great soup. We put up 30 Qts' of whole tomatoes and another 34 Qts of sauce for soups and stuff.

We put a lot in the freezer and up in cans when we can get stuff. We just got back from visiting my folks in IN. and I brought back a lot of veggies from there. Last year wasn't a good year there, so we didn't put up as much. I also buy Beef, Pork and Chicken in bulk from the local meat market and separate in freeze. Usually get a good price break that way.

Boy I wish I had those right now! Ran out of salsa 1 1/2 months ago and the store bought stuff just isn't cutting it!  We've only had a couple of handfuls of the cherry maters so far this year. Everything is so far behind this year.   Happy eating!!

The tomato's are starting to come on good, we've been eating fresh sweet corn last week or so, cukes have slowed down alot, and I seem to have some competition with my dog Truman over the cantalopes.  He likes them too!
