I picked up 2 Craftsman tractors in the last couple weeks.

I did intend on using the gt18 for plowing but it's got problems that I wasn't aware of.Cracked oil pan, steering partly stripped and well I needed to put the tires that was on it Onto my Sears Custom 10.I plan on getting rid of it soon. The plow is for an AYP body craftsman lawn mower. But it will fit the Other tractor I just got.

2003? Craftsman YS4500 22hp briggs, hydro on the fender and a 42" deck that needed some loving.

Paid to much for the GT18 BUT I basically stole the YS4500.Paid $110 and a decent push mower for it,PO wanted $150.

It needed a spindle and pulley on the shute side.He hit a small stump and it stripped out the top of the old spindle. He had allready made his mind up that he was going to buy a new Green colored tractor and just wanted this 1 gone.

I got the YS4500 fixed other than it needing a lick of paint on the deck and the Shute replaced.I ordered a new shute, still waiting on it.I need to adjust the valves on it yet.you can hear them rattle a bit on the left side.I may pull the pushrods and see if they're starting to bend or if it just needed adjusting.

Only has 271.8 hours on the ticker. There was 268 hours on it when I picked it up so the ticker is working the way it should. It was really dirty when I got it but it cleaned up pretty good.

Here's some pics of me booty Yaarrrrrrrr!!!

I plan on selling the newer Craftsman to fund the purchase of a Slightly OLDER GT of Greater size.It mows really nice and all but I want something a bit bigger and Alot older.

My neighbor has an FF20 with deck and plow and keeps eying up my new tractor  :rolling:  we'll see where it goes once I get this 1 100%.

$110?!  dude, u scored big.   change the oil, polish it up, splash a little ArmorAll here and there, and you could probably off that YS for around $500!

I know I'm not your neighbor. You'll have to pry my hands off my FF 20!

My neighbor (and close friend of the family and pastor) with the FF20 has a bad ticker. He's had 31 stints and 2 bypasses so far and the FF20 needs a little loving. His 20+ year old Craftsman 16/42 Mowing tractor is getting to be in very poor condition. It has over 2k hours on it and engine (oppossed twin briggs) is smoking and WAY down on power.

The FF20 has 2400 hours and change on it but it was completely rebuilt 6 years ago.Currently it needs carb rebuilt, fuel pump and a new set of points and condenser. It has the B48G Onan in it.

He may not trade me but I'm gona give it a try.I'de sell it to him cheap if he really wants it.
