Hi Guys, i am not much of a bolens guy but i do have a sweet bolens gt 2000 with deck and blower, the only reason i bought them was, well its a gt, dont really need any other reason but this one had a blower still with the manuel and bolts in the factory bag, never installed, and a lady owner that was fanatic about keeping it clean, washed and polished, i just spotted on craigs list buffalo a tiller and would like to know if it will fit my machine, all the ad says is came off a fmc, but heres the ad for more info, i wish i was more computer savy and i could get it here but i am a dinosaur, craigs list , buffalo, garden tractors july 29  and its only a $125 hope it fits thanks for your advice, farmer john

It might, but you need the 3 point lift attacment plates, the 3 point lift links and arms along with the lift cable, this was designed to fit a Bolens with the 3 point attacment points on the axle, yours doesnt have attachment points on th eaxles, you have to buy special plates that bolt to the frrame. The whole get up willcost around 500.00 from ebay. Even if you want to run a sleeve hitch you will nneed these attacment plates. It would be cheaper for you to buy a medium tube frame tractor. The tiller will bolt right to most of them

I'm just curious but would the tiller in the ad just attach to the tabs on the bottom side of the axle or doesn't a 2000 have the tabs like the TFs?  I've never really paid attention to how they look in the back.

No tabs on a Duratrac/GT2000/1800 the model designation 5100, or the Eliminator GT2000/1800, model 5000, you had go back to before 1984 to the QT16/QT17/QT19 or 1669 models to have the three point tabs on the axle. All these models are Large frame models, they did put tabs on medium frame and tube frame tractors like the H16xl/H14xl or 1668 models up until 1984?as well as the HT18/HT20/HT23 up until the early/mid 1990s. I read manuals and remember most things I read, dont know why

Even if it would not fit, if you have the cash it would sure make good trading stock.

DANG RIGHT JD! it would at that price, If it was me I would have it in my shop, when you go to buy a tiller like that one expect to pay 375.00, thats half the cost of a three  point hitch your saving

John,

Do you know Chris "Downtown Brown" with the ponytail in Beamsville (north side of the QEW just off Ontario Street)

He's "Mr Bolens" - he'll have what you need - see his ad on Kijiji Hamilton for his phone number (type in Bolens)

Tom (rammer)

Grimsby, ON.

He would have to be "Mr. Bolens", to come up with the entire 3 point set up, mounting plates, lift cable  and all for a GT2000 Duratrac, those are damn hard to find, lots harder to find than older Bolens stuff, by the late 80s early 90s, very few people were ordering 3 points
