This showed up at the local scrapyard.deutzallis1_zps8d8c9407.jpeg

It is complete except for the front wheels and tires. However, the engine is a stuck 12.5 hp Briggs.

If the tractor is a 616 the engine should be a 16 hp , right? I can get it with a pair of front wheels and tires from something else in the yard for $100. What do you think ? If the whole thing is not worth $100, does anyone need a part off of it? Thanks.

Looks like a Simplicity or an Allis Charlmers

They are sort of all the same... Deutz Allis, Agco-Allis, Simplicity, Homelite as simplicity...

I like the looks of the hoods.

Bear in mind that the engine is not stuck but probably seized.   Price a used engine before you get it.

I would get it.Grab an engine out of 1 of those AYP/MTD made tractors sitting beside it and stick in it.

The engine may not be seized or stuck. It could just be 1 of the belts jammed up in the pulleys.

Those decks cut really nice.

Actually, I have a MTD that my former renters left behind that is junk , but the engine runs great. I was kinda looking for something interesting to use the engine on.And it's true that something else, like a belt may be keeping the engine from turning. I just tried it by pulling on the rope.I'll probably get it later this week.
