Mike, I can't help you with the color because I'm color blind( the Army wouldn't let me be combat arms so I ended up an engineer). I find that www.SimpleTractors.com has most answers for my old ACs and Simplicities. When that fails, I check here with ACHomsteader. Good Luck, Rick

Appaently it was a cream color, not real white, also the newer Allis garden tractorwere Corporate Orange, not Persion Orange 1, 3, or 3. And thank you for your service, The Military couldn't function without Engineers

My ACs are AC Orange and Old Cat Yellow. I have B series garden tractors and a 1955 HD6G dozer. Good Luck, Rick

Funny you mention that as my '74 Homesteader is kind of a slightly off white but two of the implements are very definitely a richer cream color.  All are original paint so they were using more than one white that year for sure.  The implements are the same color as the 300 and 400 series I've seen.  I'm still experimenting with different white spray bombs for touch up matching.

This picture shows the color difference fairly well.
