Ok guys, Cub Cadet Specialities list a drive shaft coupling chrome ball. I am still thinking that a steel ball is used in the coupling as a spacer. I really don't think the part is worn. I want to make sure before I put it back together.

I always appreciate the help guys. This project is coming together not too much left to go.

Try your local hardware store for a ball bearing. They cost pennies.

Do they have a picture of it?

Yes, it does.  I may mock mine up later today and see what it looks like and take a picture or two.  I still think I recall reading abut it in a manual somewhere.

Does anyone know what size the ball is? I will put one in mine when I remove the balance gears.
