I may be able to clean out the fins some, I'll check that today but I think it's clear for the most part. And yes there is a fan.

If your talking a bout a hose you looped back on to the pto it should not be hot in the case system all the valves should be open center. That line should be dead unless you have it engaged letting oil flow trough that line.If you did not have looped back and had engaged you have hard time starting tractor because you would be dead heading your oil circuit so be mindful of your pto lever position.

I don't think I had it engaged I will pay better attention to it. I do know that valve doesn't completely shut. The tines would never completely stop turning. They rotated very slowly when I had it disengaged.

Sounds like you may need some new orings in the valve. I have had no experience in this. I just figure it is not sealing off like it should. The main reason for creating a loop with the hose is just in case you hit that PTO arm. Good insurance against potential pump damage. The TCV will show the same symptons when the rings are worn in it. The tractor will creep.

So I now have a charging issue. I can not seem to locate the issue. If the started is starting the engine is it possible it isn't charging the battery?

Is there anyway I can test this new voltage regulator?

Well this test the generator, So i'm assuming if this works then this leaves me to believe that the "new" voltage regulator bit the dust?

Is this a new symptom ? Did you put fuse in line to amp gauge check amp gauge connections ? Does your reg have 4 poles? Where did you run ground to?

Yes it's a new symptom. I bypassed the amp gauge. Yes it has 4 poles. . . . Now that you mention that fuse. . . I wired it up without it to figure out the configuration. . .  I'll have to look at the diagram . . . maybe I fried the new regulator? The starter/generator could have gone belly up. . . It runs fine one started by at higher RPM's it drains the battery. The main ground is to side of the engine.

From my reading online I think it's the starter generator  :wallbanging:  I'm taking it to a man tomorrow to get tested . . . .

It's a new battery. . . But who knows it could have gone bad as well but i doubt it. . .

First off did you get chance to get the S&G checked out ? You said it drains the battery at higher RPM's what do you base that on. Not trying to be smart a.. just might be another clue to the prob. Sounds like a short or ignition switch .

I had it tested the field was shot in the SG, Also the end with the bearing is worn out and had to order a new one of those as well. . . It would idle all day long (exaggeration lol) but at higher RPM's it would rapidly drain the battery checking the voltage on the battery. . . Idling it would just tick down . . If that makes any sense  . . .  But it was confirmed today by the man that tested it, he is going to test my regulator too just to make sure it isn't burned up from the SG being messed up. . .
