Here is the start of rewiring the tractor. Hopefully it will be done tomorrow. Can anyone show me a pic where the voltage regulator mounts? I have mine that was removed by the PO, but can't see where it was mounted. I was just wanting to know for when the new one arrives. . . .

Anyone know where a pic might be where the voltage regulator is located? I can't find it in the manual I printed out. . .

Positive note I have the engine running now without the choke. . . Just need to figure out all the electrical and replace some hydraulic lines. . . .

I would have thought one of the high wheeler guys would be here by now . Here's a shot in the dark my rectifiers are all mounted on plate on steering wheel tower see if yours has couple bolt holes in it. A bout the only place left with any room unless mounted on gen start set.

You will have to wait till one of these guys to get back . They must be all out of town for the weekend or they would be all over it to help you out. John,Arty,Machinist,Moosetale . All have 400 series Case. Because of lack of space I say back of inspection plate.

That's fine. I did manage to drain the hydraulic system and removed the hoses today, taking them tomorrow to get new ones made. I also got the engine to run without the coke on. My throttle cable however won't stay full throttle I guess I'll have to replace it too.

When you refill it use a high quality motor oil like Shell Rotella . I use 10w30 in my tractors.

It calls for 20w40, but I can't find that anywhere, I was going to use 20w50 instead. Although it looks to be used in more marine applications than anything so maybe I needed to look at the next isle over lol . . Can you tell a difference between the high quality and the cheap?

I used 15w40 shell rotella. That seems to be the most common one use amongst everyone. I've had good luck with it and its inexpensive. I think around 12 bucks a gallon. You will need 5-6 quarts total. As for the regulator, remove the inspection plate on the dash tower. I have a couple with it mounted on that plate. Be careful not to pull too hard so you won't damage the wiring. It has a plug right there at the regulator.

All of my wiring is removed now I have to rewire everything I've already made New battery cables. I've yet to find a good wiring diagram, all I've found is the diagram for ordering parts.. which will work but would like the actual electrical schematic.... Thanks for all the help, this forum is great!

Where did you get fan blade? Awhile back they were having problems with getting supplier for them. That long time ago so they must have found supplier for them.
