Obviously the gentleman's television quit awhile back or he never subscribed to the History Channel, otherwise the price would be doubled.

There was a guy not far from me that advertised a great looking Wheel Horse GT14 that he bought new, but needed a battery and a deck spindle He wanted 150.00 for it. When I finally got hold of him he said he was considering shutting his phone off he had so many calls.

At least he didn't do what a guy locally did.  I called him about a tractor he had for sale, a Cub Cadet for a very nice price, and he said the price on his ad was no longer applicable.  He explained to me that since he had received so many calls, he decided that he was asking too little.  He quoted me nearly triple the price.

I hung up.  End of story.

That has happened to me as well, I called on an ad for a Cub 129 and the guy said several people told him it was worth double the asking price and he had a couple felows coming to buy it. I told him to save my number and call me after they left. When the lowlifes showed up the buy the tractor they wanted to give him less than the 150.00 he had originally listed the tractor and tiller, because of "wear and tear", he called me back and I bought the tractor and tiller for 150.00. Another time the guy doubled the price on a Ariens GT14 on me in the time it took for me to drive 30 minutes to his house because of the phone calls from out of state guys that had no intention of driving to get it. I googled the guys Dad who owned the tractor, and found out he was a Doctor doing life in prison for running a drug ring selling Oxycontin, the acorn don't fall far from the tree

I used to see a panzer ad on my local CL... I think it was in Eureka Springs... It was in the $400-$500 range. Guy must have sold it, haven't seen the ad recently.
