I bought a chain hoist on Craigslist for $20 which was a steal and when I went to pick it up we talked about hobbies when retired. Got to the subject of garden tractors and he said he had an old one he didn't use any more and we walked over to take a look. He told me it had been sitting for about 8 to 9 years but he would pull the start rope every time he walked by just to keep it freed up. He said he would take $20 for it too and I told him I would give him $10 because that's about all it would bring as scrap if I couldn't get it running. I think I got a good deal on this one. The deck is broken and patched back together in the front but the rest is in pretty good shape. Here's some pics.

Actually, here where I am, it would bring around $40 in scrap price. You sure got a great buy.

That was one heck of a buy you got there Ronnie! It looks to be pretty complete and not really in too bad condition. Good luck with getting it running and congrats on the bargain!

If you lived closer, I'd offer you $20.

Give you a chance to double your investment. :D

Nice find, nice save, thanks for the pictures.

BTW, there is a full owner's manual for that in the manuals section. Some other stuff also.

Nice find on that Sears and a great price! It looks like it is in very nice shape, not all beat up. Good for you!
