Just an observation here ... but the Ridemaster looks like a late 48 or a 49 to me ( posablly an early 50 ).

The rear axle mount is interesting.

The earlier tractors had the wide angle iron rear axle bracket welded to the center tube.

They later changed to a small flat plate that was welded to the center tube and the angle iron bracke was bolted to the flat plate.

This one has the angle iron rear axle bracket welded to the tube but it is cut off short and another angle iron axle bracket is bolted to it.

It is certainly a nice looking tractor.

Nice haul Rick. Having bought from you before I'm glad to see that you are still out there looking and keeping parts available and some of the older Bolens from going for scrap. Keep up the good work.

Ok, trying to get the Ridemaster running, first the gas was crap, tank a little gummie, cleaned it and all the lines, cleaned the fuel bowl, they had the gas shut off so it looks like the nasty stuff isn't in the carb,I got a good gas flow now, cracked the bowl on carb, nice clean fuel, now the question,if your standing in frount of the tractor looking at the engine, which way should it turn, clockwise or counter clockwise,
