Saturday a fellow Garden tractor enthusiast (ABC, who I am trying to get to join here) and myself went to the Keck-Gonnerman plowday in New Harmony, IN. ABC took some of these pictures.

He brought his Root Garden tractor and I brought my Ford LGT 165.
Here they are loaded on his trailer:

It was a cool dreary fall day. But the turn out was pretty good. I would say 10 to 15 garden tractors and 20+ large tractors.

The garden tractors had a short drive from the parking area to the field we were to work.

There was a neat Blue G-1000:

I thought it was neat how the front wheel ran in the previous furrow, but the rear tire run in the furrow that was just cut.

The plows were getting clogged so almost everyone removed the coulters.

I was awaiting the pics Chuck. Thanks for posting them. I wanted to go, but what with picking up the Bush Hog & JD tractors, and taking the womenz shopping, my plate was full. Plus I'd have had to drive my F250 & it drinks gasoline like no tomorrow. I'm making plans to be sure & attend next year! How did the Ford do Chuck?

The Ford did great. Going to brag on it and say it plowed as good or better than the rest.

Well of course it did super! I knew mechanically it was sound, once I put both new valves in anyway. Cosmetically challenged it is! LOL

yeah it ran great, and pulled very strong. After a couple rounds I pulled over to stretch and was asked "where's the muffler? Cause that thing is to quiet for it not to have one"

Edit: going to try and help out its cosmetics a little bit.

Thanks for posting the pics and video Chuck! I'm glad that the Ford did you (and Dan) proud! Those are some really great pics. I've never seen a Keck-Gonnerman before. That's a very nice original unit!

I am glad to get to share my pictures. I thought it was neat to get to see all these different tractors working. That's something that different from a show, you get to see and hear the tractors working.

a funny side note: Saturday morning my 3 year old daughter asked her mom where dad was. Jenny told her that he went to drive tractors. Daphne's response was "Oh no he forgot me, I was supposed to go." Daphne told me the same thing later, and made me feel a little bad about not taking the family.
