HI GUYS, went out to look at a c160 today not a bad price but it only had a 10 hp kohler in it, no other markings on the frame, i thought a c 110 was 10hp a c120 was 12hp a c160 16hp or were different motors put into these chassies, or was this a fudged tractor with a c160 hood? it also had a hydrolic valve down on the left to run the cylinder, thanks

Im not a WH expert but it sounds like it may have been a C160 beings it has hyds (maybe other hydros of the series had hyds, not sure), but someone changed the engine for some reason,,, they are easily swapped.

If it was a ten horse, it may have been a C-100 with a C-160 hood? There was no C-110. That would have been a 11 horse power Kohler. They did make a C-111. When Kohler was on strike, they had to use Briggs & Stratten engines so those tractors all end in a 1. "c" series tractors are all about the same, only engine size and transmission type ( hydro or eight speed gear) changed.

i was just talking to a guy down in rotchester ny he said more than likely the motor was pulled and a 10 replaced it as they are a direct fit,the puller guys love these 16 hp kohlers, buy a c160 do a quick motor change and sell it to some poor sap whos been told the c 160 is highly sought after, but not with a 10hp

Look around the dash pedestal  and find the ID tag. Sometimes on the left side just under the tank mount and earlier models had it right below the steering column under the dash. Get the number and we'll tell you what it was originally.
