Well, time is running down on me for finishing this by my local show on October 1st, so in a few minutes I'm gonna get set up to paint the remaining "to be red" parts. I have to get in a new heifer with calf & milk this evening, so I better get to it. All the remaining parts have been primed & waiting for months.

What do you add to the paint..... thinners, hardeners?

Yes, I use MarHyde wet look hardener & acrylic enamel reducer. What appears as orange peel in the bottom of the seat pan.....pitting from rust. No need to fill it smooth, as the seat will cover that anyway.

I haven't completely decided yet. The D4-7 is definitely staying as is. The D4-10 is border line and I may restore it. I know I need to pull that motor out and at least put new rings in it.

I've gotta straighten that one lens up. Guess it slipped on me while putting the hold down clips inside the bezel.

That will be nice on the D4-10. I'm very happy you have been able to 'play' with your GT's some. You've been at it pretty hard for a while now.
