I don't know is this the proper place to ask this or not, but here goes. I have an EZGO
I500 hauler[turf machine] that I am thinking of changing from electric drive to hydrostatic/gas. I have a couple of rear ends and hydro units out of larger garden tractors. By using offset rims, the outside dimensions would be same. Lot of issues such tire size, lifting front end etc. plan to build new sub frame to hold rear end and attach springs. Since this is going to be used as a hauler/tool carrier, high speed is not important. I just wondered if any one here had ever done this or similar.

If you have any similar thoughts, or ideas, let's talk

thanks GEORGE

I had similar idea. I was going to use a golf cart and a four wheeler...But the Garden tractor idea sound pretty good to me too! Best of luck with it and keep us posted on the progress. Post lots of pics too!

George,

Please keep us posted on your project. I have wanted to do something along those lines with the ability to pick up a tractor to bring to the shop. Like a GT wrecker.

Now that would be too cool!
