Can I convert my JD 314 to a h2 system for dual hyd on front or do I have go to a h3 system. I already have the h1 system to front and deck lift ?

Larry, you can do either, but if you want both remotes to be independent of the center rock shaft you need to go H-3

If you go H2 from a 317 you can get the valve and lines and they will bolt right on. You can easily make a lockout rod to lock out the rockshaft so it won't interfere with the blade angle. If you go with a H3 valve from a 400 series I'm not sure if it's that easy. You'd need custom lines made. I don't know if a 140 H3 valve would be a bolt on or not. Maybe, as the machines are very similar. Check with our site sponsors for parts.

140 H3 valve would work but the lever assembly is very different.  Pretty sure the 140 stuff would bolt onto 300s and early 316K.  The later 316k I got h2 stuff from has the same type of levers as my '82 314.  317 parts are a direct fit.
