So, last weekend, I was driving along, fat, dumb, and happy when my mower drive belt decided it was done with this world! So I ordered new belts and an idler pulley. In the meantime, I wire brushed the deck down and slathered a good thick coat of rustolium rusty metal primer on it. Sprayed it down today with some rustolium engine paint I got at the scratch and dent store for $2 a can. I'm pleased with the results!

Thanks guys!
The deck is in really nice shape. This paint should help to keep it that way! I think the aluminum spindles will corrode before the deck rots out. I have a 50" deck as well. That ones not rotted, but is worn out! This is the paint I used. 248946 old ford blue
