Well Wife and I drove 760mi round trip yesterday (12hrs and 40 min ) ( $110.00 gas $32.00  in food ) to Winterset Iowa to get the JD 42" snowblade that the man had for $100.00 . Even at that I think I came out ok .He had cleaned it up a little from picture we seen. I was amazed at how good of shape it was in . Wear bar has hardly any wear , everything is tight.. Clean sand , wire brush ,  sand  and paint. My buddy said he could weld some ends on it to widen it .

Why couldn't I bolt some heavy belting on the ends ?

Travis I hope you are correct about fitting 300 series .

Do have a question though. The blade is Jd yellow never painted as near as I can tell , but the mount and cylinders are white and never been painted either . Is this proper or normal

Larry, That blade will fit any of the 120-140 and 300 series tractors. Very nice deal even with your road trip expenses. And you can't put a price on spending a nice day with your little Bride.

The white paint means that it is a Original Custom Color (Patio) 120/140 Blade, worth even more. Document the paint if you refinish it.

$242 for an item you needed and wanted and a chance to spend the day with your Honey on a road trip? Damn good trade if you ask me.

Nice blade Larry. I'm not familiar with that model but it looks like a narrower version of the 54 blade. It sounds like a good deal to me. You have the angling cylinder as well.

Larry, I usually get a hold of them with a pair of Vise-Grips and lift them out one at a time.

I also think you did very well. Taking a little trip to get something you want & having your wife along makes good company.

All the Custom Color attachments were painted Dogwood White to match the garden tractors. Some of these attachments included the #80 Cart, #37A and #49 Snow throwers, #31 and #33 Tillers, #43 and #54 Front Blades, #5A Sprayers, and of course all models of the mower decks including the #39, #47, #41, and #48.

Your blade should have been white also, check it to make sure it hasn't been repainted.
