How Good Is A 616 Allis Chalmers

hi guys , the other day I seen a picture of a 616 ac lawn tractor , it looks really good it looks to have a twin cylinder briggs engine a nice deck , I just like the looks of the allis , I guess I will always be a farmer , my question is are they a good machine , i'd  kind of like to get one . thanks guys

It is a nice machine but what would you want to use it for besides mowing?

They area fine looking machine but that one looks like a lawn tractor so it was not designed for garden tractor work.

This is what I think he's asking about, the 616, 620- 720 Garden Tractor.

I think they are one of best GT's ever built. They had either a 16hp (616) , or a 19.9hp (620-720) twin gas engine. Or if your lucky enough to ever find one. Simplicity sold that chassis with a diesel engine in it, I think it was about 20 hp also. They have a 3 speed gear box behind a hydro trans. Front and rear PTO's, Cat "0" 3pt. We just got the Sim version of the 720 a couple weeks ago, Simplicity 4041 with a 60" deck and rear blade..

yes the 616 lawn tractor is what im referring to , just mowing is what id use it for , I already have a b112 allis with a tiller and also a model 70 cub cadet , but the other larger model 616 is nice but iv never seen one in my aera , I allways liked allis chalmers the bigger 616 what are they worth a big 60 inch deck would be nice . thanks guys

The big 616-620/720 GT's are more like a compact tractor than a GT.  I think they are about 1300lbs. About the biggest GT ever made. I'm surprised they would duplicate the model no. like that.
