i need to turn my lawn has never had anything done to it ,so the grass is not good and the soil is hard as a rock ,,in montgomery,al would a set of disks on my wheel horse sleave hitch do the job?? jim

Better use a Lawn Aerator, I think disks will make a mess on any softer spots. You may get away with it if the discs are straight, but it may "stripe". I'd try it out back where no one can see:D

When you say "turn my lawn" what do you mean? Are you trying to prepare a garden area or are you just planning on reseeding it [lawn] with new grass seed?
