I have items like this in my area that sells for around that and sometimes more. Theres a plow just like that on craigslist and he wants 175$ for it.

You'd be surprised what people will pay for old iron like that just to use it for lawn ornaments or points of interest in landscaping. I'm kind of torn on this point--- I admire a fine peace of old, functional iron as art, but would prefer to see it being used for its original purpose.

This same guys sells a lot of overpriced junk. He has a MF12h he is asking $899 for, and a rusted out out muffler for $19.99.

I asked him about these and he's a real jerk.

Yeah, with those ugly welds, it's obviously home (and not very well) made.

 

Bet that if that was behind my HDT1000 or HT20D, it would turn into a pretzel in short order :rolling:

I've never seen one with that kind of offset, I think it's been modified. But I have no idea why someone would want to plow narrow of a strip of land. He can't plow over about 4" at a time!!

I'd bet it was modified to work behind a larger/wider wheelbase tractor.  Saw an unmodified one at the SOTR and the guy wanted $175 for it.  I thanked him and moved on.
