i am in need of a lift cylinder for an 1886. the one i have the pin is stuck into the housing and will not come out.

Keep soaking it with PB Blaster or the homemade concoction that is described on GTTs home page. It took a month of soaking a bleeder nipple on my truck to get it off. It was worth it because I had the time and didn't want to take that floating axle out. Good Luck, Rick.

He is talking about a hydraulic cylinder, not a cylinder for hydraulic brakes.

I think he means the pin that holds the cylinder to the tractor. PB Blaster works great for loosening things that are stuck together. If he means the cylinder rod then PB probably wont work. I would ove pressurize the cylinder then to try to get it appart. Use a hand pump for that. Good Luck, Rick

found a place that rebuilt my other cylinder. all is good now except the stuck pin on the other one.
