Welcome to GTTalk. Thanks for the pics but they need to be rotated to the correct view. If you can't get them sorted out then one of the Moderators will sort them out for you.

Welcome to GTTalk!  Always great to have another Massey lover on board.  That poor MF 7 has been cut up quite a bit, look forward to seeing you restore it.

Sorry about the pics being out of wack I couldn't figure it out in my phone of how to fix them thanks for doing that for me.i live in Boyle county. Yeah the 7 is real rough!! It had a Briggs 8hp when I got it from a guy he cut out the tin to make it fit. The mowing deck had be patched but for $50 I think I done alright. It's gonna be a long restore I'm afraid but I'm ok with that. Yea my uncle had the 10 I got it for $250 witch might be high idk? im not real familiar with the GT's know alot about full size massey from where my grand dad owned a massey dealer ship for many years. But he never sold massey GT's it runs ok it needs the carb cleaned and adjusted i think might be wrong if so tell me please lol.it runs good when wide open and the choke on a little but runs rough when at a idle.and thanks for the welcomes guys sounds like this is a real good site with some real good guys!

I know the Massey 12 hp models were available as both geared and Hydrostatic models, hence "12G" for a 12 hp geared model, and "12H" for a 12 hp Hydrostatic model.  I'm pretty sure the 8 hp models were available as both geared and hydro as well.  The 10 I think was only available as a geared model, but there is a tendency to say "10G".  The 14 and 16 hp models were only available as Hydros, so usually no added letter is used there.

Michael, :welcome: to GTTalk.
The g or h behind the 7,8,12 means gear or hydrostatic transmission.

The 10 was only offered in a gear and the 14/16's were all Hydrostatic I think.
Nice start to the herd, thanks for sharing pics.
