I bought this John Deere Yard Sweeper as my excuse to get the Massey Ferguson 14 running.

It seems to be in farily good shape except for I suppose the most important part.  The Gears and Pawls for each side are worn out and so the brushes don't turn.  I went to the John Deere dealership to see if I could get replacements.  Though I had I a feeling I would be out of luck.

Anyway, there was another dealership (not very close by) that had the pawls but nobody had the gears.  What my question is because this sweeper was made for John Deere is there somewhere else I can hope to get parts or do I have to do something like welding the Gears to the brush axel or drilling a hole in them and using a roll pin.

Thanks

Of course here is a picture.

Oops! I guess I made a mistake in the topic title.

That should be "John Deere 38T".

Sorry if that caused any trouble, It is just that sort of a day!

(I don't suppose I can edit that topic title can I?)
