Nice early B-10!  36_1_11.gif

You can probably get close on the year the tractor was built from the serial number on the engine.

http://www.asecc.com...iggs/data4.html

Neither Allis-Chalmers nor Simplicity has ever released any information linking serial numbers to build dates on their garden tractors.

I had the hardest time starting my b10 until I changed out the coil, now it starts on a quarter turn! Glad to see there are still good honest people in the world like dealing with that old lady.

By the way, the serial number is 027112. Anyone know what year it is? Does the Simple Tractor site have the serial number lookup? Thanks.

built 1963-64. Mfgr# 2025041. I would guess that high a serial number it was 1964. There is no record of serial numbers

What's the engine stats? Looks like a good old tractor! I've never driven with a seat like that, all mine are pan seats but one - no arm rests either. But boy I bet they are nice. I just got a Simplicity 717 a few weeks ago I see a lot of similarities. Don't you just love those old tractors!
