I was looking at the Reel mower I got with the 12B01 Power Ho and uncovered what appears to be an early decal of the

"Huski Man"

I dont think I've ever seen one like this before, the guy even has different facial features than the other ones I'm used to seeing.

Appears to read "Bolens Products" on the outer edges of the circle portion.

Anyone have a good picture of a decal like this or seen one?

From the info I have and from what Bruce told me it was only a 1 year model (1949)

But I think a few may have snuck out in late 48' as a Brochure I have is dated 48' and is introducing the "New" 12B Power Ho

The NPR6 engine on mine is dated 48'

Its possible

I think the earliest Power Ho was the 12A which started in 42' and ended in 48'

Bolens was called Bolens Products Division of Automatic Products Company from 1939 to 1946...

You need to have that one re-produced.

That is a interesting decal. IMO I think it would be for the first years of the Power Ho. But from the few pics of tractors I've seen there wasn't a yellow back ground like this one. The 45' Power Ho I have has red instead of the yellow on the gas tank decal.

With a snap hitch on it though it could be from 46' in the middle of transition to FMC and they could have been experimenting with decals.  It would be nice if someone would have the same decal on a different piece.

Looks like it should be this one someone tried to replicate.

I believe the background should be yellow

The 12B was a model for 1949 & 1950.

Brian's B&S NPR6 engine was made in May, 1948.

Keep in mind that the model year and the calendar year were not always the same.  (New models of cars, trucks, tractors, and other equipment were often debuted prior to their model year.)

Production of the 1949 tractor models would have begun in mid-to-late 1948, and some shipments to dealers may have been made in 1948.  ....Literature would have also been printed in advance of the calendar year.

There is also no way of knowing when the production of a certain model tractor stopped.  .....If production was stopped in February or March or April (for example), it would still be listed as having been produced in that year, but there is no guarantee that production continued beyond that point.

Also, sometimes Bolens (and other manufacturers) would list a certain model as a current model, although production had been discontinued previously, but the factory had a lot of "left-over" units to sell.
