The engine swap is pretty much complete now. Only have to run a new choke cable yet. The engine runs great especially with the governor gear in position like it should be. I think it may be a little rich on the low side yet as once you increase the throttle just above idle it sounds like it is loading up.

I wanted to post though that I got a chance to get the HD-12 back together and also get the trail mower hooked up and running. I was splitting some of the wood from the large maple tree we cut down a couple months ago and once I had a good area cleaned out I thought it would be a great time to get some video of the Bush Hog working along with the mower deck.

Here is the video:

Great stuff, George! I hate to say it, but the little waddles the mower made reminded me of a duck! Did a good job though!

Great video! Have you tried the wheels on the rear setting?? Just wondered how it would work compared to the sides. If it would pull more than waddle (Kenny's word :D )

May dig in more?? Looking good!

George- That is a slick pro job of the kohler sit in! I replaced an Onan on a Case 448 to a 14hp K series. I need to post pics of it,looks factory. When I find a HD 12 and it happens to have motor issues or no motor at all ,that will be the very thing I will consider. Again- Sweet job

George I was looking at the pictures of your rear PTO gear box. I just realized you had the same set up with the handle up front to engage the rear pto. That correct?? Hard to tell looking at the video, but at one point, did you have both handles side by side?? front pto handle and rear pto handle?? I guess I just missed it at some point. I always thought you engaged yours from the rear by a handle. Man yours was optioned out really nice and it such great shape!  HW and the rear gear reduction box.....what other option are you hiding? :D
