I've seen the Nova II Transistorized ignition module of Ebay and wondered if they could be used on my Onan B48 on my JD420, and also on my Kohler K341 on my Ford LGTs, etc.
Even though the Onan is a twin cylinder, I'm pretty sure both plugs fire at the same time... it's just that one is at the top of the exhaust stroke so nothing ignites. I've had motorcycles that do the same thing. Is this correct?
The Onans aren't too hard to tune up, but the points and condensor typically sell for $30 to $35 and the Nova II is $13, so I'm ahead money wise if nothing else.
I've also heard of people doing things like the Point Saver systems on the Kohlers, so if the Nova or similar system won't work, can the Point Saver be put on the Onan?
