All this came about last week when we got 8" of rain in 6 days. Which wouldn't be all that bad if it was only a inch a day, but Sat. mourning I dumped out 3.1" and 3.25" Sunday. We've had a wet spring so far and the ground is saturated with water. I was working late or early Sunday and came home to this.

The pic isn't the best. I took it at 5 in the mourning.

Here's one that afternoon.

So with all that water all the stalks and everything else that floats ended sitting  in the field and my ditch. I try and keep my driveway looking nice. With all the stalks and rubbish sitting on my grass in needed to get it off the grass before it killed it. That's where the 1050 came in. Put the blade on it and went to work (really playing :D ) pushing the junk back out into the field. Didn't work to bad other than it was a foot deep in spots and wet under all that stuff. At least it got done.

Nate, if it gets much worse you will need to caulk the wagons and float down your driveway.

I need to get a 1050 going for making the "blade tractor". That looks like a lot of fun.

I'm glad it was on a Sunday so the wife didn't have to go to work. I would've not liked to go get the car out of the water after it would stall out.

I've been through deeper water with the Jeep before with not problems. Was just kinda hairy driving through it in the dark not knowing how deep it was. Kida wish the BILs boat was still at my house. I would've taking it out for a rid in the feild :D

Looks like fun!

Add dirt to the drive way to make it taller? You would get to use the 1050 again...

Wow, that's a lot a water Nate! Wish you'd send some of that rain my way. Well, at least the 1050 got a chance to stretch its legs.

Matt

Believe me I wish I could. We've had plenty of rain and snow this spring. I think the ground water is replenished from the last few day years.

The 1050 has been busy keeping weeds dug up in the field to keep the property lines straight. Anything for a little seat time!
