HI Guys,

I'm new to Garden Tractor pulling but i have had a lot of experience working in an automotive shop. I am thinking about building a Heavy Unlimited Out Lawn Tractor. For an engine i would put a Chevy s 10 engine. My main question is what do you do for the transmission will a stock one bee able to hold up that much power? I would probably build my cub cadet 105

The outlaw's I see around here are pretty much automotive based. Auto engines, transmittions and narrowed differetials.

There were two I particularly liked.

1) Oldsmobile Quad 4, Beefed up Powerglde Transmition and 3/4 Ton Chevy Pickup Differential narrowed.

2) VW TDI Diesel,  Beefed upPowerglide, and Ford 9" narrowed. That one was called the Wild Hare and blew Black the full length of the track. Full pulls looked easy.

Your best bet is to attend some pulls and see what's competetive in your area before you build.
