Some how that doesn't surprise me. Have you decided what OS you are going back with?  When we talked you said you didn't have a windows disc.  You can go back to Lenovo and request a Win 7 disc.

 

Actually, I "may" have a win7 upgrade disc, so with my product key#, it should do a complete install, correct?  Even if I do install win7, I'll likely also partition, then install the OS you sent.  Then I can boot either & try your OS too.  Gotta get a new HD first.

That is correct with your product Key you should be able to install Win 7.  When installing a dual boot system you have to install Windows first then the second OS.  Not hard because most all the Linux Distro's will automatically pick up that Windows is installed and will partition the Hd accordingly or you can manually carve up the drive.
