I recently purchased a Jacobsen Chief but today I was given two rear engine riders. one is a snapper and the other is a case Ingersoll. I was hoping someone could tell me a little about both rear engine riders. I cant find anything on the case, but the interesting part is it was the 25th anniversary. neither runs currently but the case needs a lot less work so that will be first to be worked on. any input on either mower would be great. thanks

Nice score! I really haven't seen too many rear engine Case's. I have a 25th anniversary 222. Probably all 1987's were. Millions of Snappers produced.

Your Jacobsen looks like a tough machine.

Snappers are all the same for years.  With very few exceptions, the parts interchange across decades, at least from what I have seen.  The sad thing is that they aren't worth very much except for use.
