They sure did spend a bunch of time and money on that.

Curious, what is that above the driver's right foot?

Looks like a Whaler Gusher Pump. But probably not.

Probably hydrostatic drive, they require more engine to get the power to the wheels, compared to gear drive!  :reading_the_manual:

it looks like a remote mount oil filter housing to me. you can see the oil filter on it with a inlet line and outlet line.

Growing up, my friend's dad was a welder/fabricator, and he put a 4 cylinder out of a chevette on a john deere lawn tractor for my friend...it was very loud and powerful, but it didn't take us long to break everything on it.

Now my car friends at the coffee shop I ride my jd314 would love it. Very neat. But the cops might frown with out a mower deck
