FREE B&S ENGINE GAVE TO ME ,HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT ANYTHING ON IT :confuse: ONLY NUMBER ON IT IS INTAKE PART NUMBER I WAS HOPING SOME OF YOU GUYS WOULD KNOW HOW TO REVERSE PART # LOOKUP OR SOMETHING 805772 NUMBER HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH THIS PART # 690754 ITS EITHER 16/18/HP OR MIGHT BE BIGGER BUT PRETTY LIGHT TO BE OVER 20 IN MY OPINION LOL! THATS AS FAR AS IVE GOTTEN & YES I KNOW MY CAPS ARE STUCK AGAIN LOL! SORRY :confuse:

I was gonna ask you why you were yelling LOL.

APPALACHIAN EDGE Try this link. I can't be sure that this is it, but I did a google search using the original part No. and the replacement part No. and this is what I came up with. I then plugged it into the briggs website and this is what came up. Hope it's the one you're looking for.

Thanks caseguy its pretty close at least it gives me a starting point ! Here are some pics ,I don't know why i didn't think of that earlier lol!

That looks like a Kohler, we had one in the Walker mower when I worked for the landscaper, it was a 20hp horiz. shaft, the oil filler plug looks familiar.

partstree.com briggs at bottom and then go to 290 i found it by going backwards but thats a little harder. let me know if you need anything else.

So its a 14hp-16hp im pretty sure ! Ill check for a part number on the head tomorrow now that i got it off i think i saw one ! I know its a lil over 2 1/2 in bore

Looks like a B&S vanguard small block 16hp or 18hp looks like from 1990 era they are very good motors. I use them in my john deere garden tractors.

Thanx ricky I havent got around to getting the numbers off the head yet ! i think you guys have got it right on the mark though! 14-16hp vanguard
