well i have tune the carb bowl fule in take thing to the what they had it at when it came out of the factorie what i really need is to get a needle spring


The spring that keeps it from adjusting itself?

I meant the float needle spring is what i need too much fule is running throught it and every time i use it i smell like i just bathed in gas.

Have you checked the float to make sure it isn't leaking or has fluid in it? I think it should be able to overcome the pump pressure even without the spring before it overflows.

ya it isnt leaking what i did a couple of weeks ago i had the carb of and i had tuned the needle that sits in the bowl that lets the amount of fule that gets in the carb back to what i think my ag teacher said it should be at but i havnt ran it sense.

The carb on my 16 did not have a spring on the float pin if I remember right. Just the little spring like piece that actually held the needle on the float.

You sure the float is not leaking and not floating.

I ran it yesterday to mow lawn because my pos craftsman's push mower wasnt going run right all day so i said for get it charged the batteri and fired her up and thanks to the fule needle on the bottom of the carb it ran so well. (expect the part i might of put to much oil in it and it smoked quite badly for about a minute or so)

Hey guys im woundering if i just need to do some rings on my pistion to pevent any more oil burning on my lawn mower aslo if there is anything esle i need to replace please let me know so i can look for prices on it

Try running sae 30 instead of multi viscosity and see if it gets better.

There actually is a test for finding out if rings will help. It works better on engines without compression release , but will work on yours well enough... Do you have a compression tester?
