Hey guys! Just picked up a Sears Suburban 10hp with 3 point hitch, dulies, and a sickle bar  mower. Will post picks soon. I put checked if she had spark/ oil. She had both, checked the tank which was dry (good thing), put some gas in her and she fired right up! Drove her up the drive way to be parked. Needs a carb clean and some new oil. But other than that shes a pretty neat little tractor.

The cross members on that 3pt hitch are very unusual. That's probably pretty high dollar. Nice score.

Just got back from trying her out. I need a new belt on the sickle bar, because it keeps slipping on tall tall grass. I need an oil seal for her too. I really dangerous part about her is you have to run the motor, to get her warm up, shut it off, hook up the belt to the sickle bar, and start her up. But, it starts with the sickle bar mower on. It also has a 8hp Briggs because the original motor couldn't work with the sickle bar on. I also put one of the dulies on .

You can't beat a running GT for $90.

Is that a slice of PVC pipe for spacers for dual wheels?

PVC pipe is almost as useful as duct tape.

Wow, that's a great deal. Any one of the portions is paid for and the rest was free.
As for the cross bars, those came with the back blade. Might want to ask the PO if they have it in the shed somewhere.

It's missing the mule drive and belt tightener on the front of the machine. That's why the "cobble job" on the belt routing and engagement. I don't quite understand what you meant by the old engine wouldn't drive the mower, but hey... Whatever works.

Is there a model number on the sickle? That may help us answer a q or two.

Thanks for the pics.

He doesn't have any attachments for it. And yeah, I know its missing the mule drive n stuff. And to be honest, I don't know if thats the correct story with the motor. But, the tractor and everything came a long way to VT. The sickle bar does have a number, I can try and get it on here if ya. And no problem!

$90 :worship:  That was a super deal. Looks to be a '66.

Man, that sickle bar is $250-400 by itself, what a deal and looks to be in good condition too. The sickle mule drive I believe is a different one from the standard mower mule drive, pulleys are at a slight different angle I think.
