I finally got around to getting a second hard drive for my main computer because I have been wanting to dual boot windows and linux. I decided to try the new Fedora 19 beta and I gotta say I am impressed with it. Everything has setup extremely well and easy. I still have a lot of setting up to do for the command line / ssh terminal and keys for the webserver connection but I will get around to it here before long.

Are you using the Server or Desktop?  I haven't used Fedora in quite some time.  When 18 was released the reviews weren't real great.  How was your experience with the installer.  Did you manually partition out the HD or did you let the installer take it?  The latest Linuxmint has gotten some good reviews.

I actually wiped Fedora 19 beta and installed Ubuntu 13.04 for now. There were quite a few bugs with Fedora and one of them was the ability to update the software. So basically whatever bugs it had would never get fixed without reinstalling a newer version anyway. I did like where they were going with it though and look forward to trying it again once it is a little more stable.

Let us know how you like Unity.  You also may like the latest Linuxmint.

I downloaded the live cd of Fedora 18.  I still like Mint or Ubuntu better.

I've never warmed up to Fedora or Red Hat either.  I'm partial to the Debian distro's.
