Wow, DougT! You are some good! How many Vikings have you owned?

Just remember, even the blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while. These wheels are particular to the model B which was the first Viking model built. These would have been built from  1926-34. I've got 2 fairly compete, unrestored w/reverser and a 3rd in pieces that needs wheels. Maybe it should be Andy's project? Here are some pictures of a model B I took on last year's west coast trip. It doesn't have the reverser.

No wonder I use so much oil, somebody stuck one of those nameplates on my Cub Cadet. For seven years I have been changing the oil twice a week!!

 

Do you think that is overkill?  :hitting_self_roller:

I do not think air filtration worked very well back then, the oil acted as the filter, capturing the dust. 

 

I saw some old machines on my BIL's farm, it was amazing they lasted more than a season or two with the poor air filters (or lack of any filter!).
