Hi Jerry why not try this, forget about the J-bolt and bolt both side on the same way in the middle hole, can't see in pic the left bracket to good but if you attach brackets 44 and 49 to the angle deck parts at close to the same height it should work. The closer you attach to the deck housing the higher up the deck will come. If the side to side level is off just move one side bracket 44 up or down till it's level.
The front rod #20 all they do is set the front to back level.

The front rod will lower the cut but not raise it higher than what the back is at least that's the way my friends JD is.

The right side bracket has a hole, hole and slot topo to bottom. The left side has a slot, slot, hole so I need something to hold the draft arm at the top of the slot. Can't trust just a bolt and nit to that with the vibration. If I get another nut to put on the j-bolt so I have one on each side of the deck bracket then it should hold the draft arm at the top of the slot which is about level with the hole in the other of the deck bracket. if you see what I mean. I will find out for sure how she levels on monday after i put hte deck back on.

You may have to adjust the rear hangers into another hole, IDK on that.

As mentioned here I think this is your answer.

I have it fixed. Moved right side down to middle hole. Moved left side down to top of middle slot. iverted adjuster assembly.place pipe and washer shim on j-bolt to bracket section. this gives some adjustment (only up on left hand side) and locks the deck on the left side. Front to rear level and side to side level are good. I was hoping the right wasn't low as there no adjustment on the right and only up adjustment on the left. Looks good though.
I was just afraid of it being level if the draft arms were lowered and not having adjustment to level it. Can't stand an uneven cut. Just grates on the nerves you know.
Thanks for all of the suggestions everyone.

Glad you got it, now the next guy won't struggle. Thanks also for posting the resolution.

But it lets you make some very interesting patterns / verbiage in your yard.
Here's one I did last year.

Yeah, It was a real pain to find anything on the STX46. The adjustment on it are really poorly designed, adjustment on one side only, come on that's really not user friendly.
Once again Thanks One and All.
