Soo.. The shop is feeling really full.. I started a purge of anything i don't use.  I have let things go i never thought i would sell.. old oil cans even the big hand pump 5 gallon oil cans. a portable sand blaster but i haven't used it in 6 years.  Just odds and sods..

Not nearly often enough, Team Green, but Willie is right, as soon as you get rid of it, you need it. At least that is my story, and I'm sticking to it,  lol.  There's a fine line between collecting and hoarding, and I'm afraid I've crossed it.

Well done! It's easier and cheaper than building more storage for more stuff you don't need. I have to get rid of some stuff this year as well! The clutter gets on my nerves when it reaches a certain point.

I did a purge at the business last year. We'd been keeping everything for 27 years.

Always thinking, "it's too good to throw away" Sooner or later, you don't even know

you have it tucked away. I was finding so much stuff buried in piles. Stuff that we had

gone an bought again, after we first stashed it away.

Ended up with $960 cash from scrap metal.

I agree and so did my dad. That's why when he died he left me with a 30' x 50' garage almost full (except for 1 bay to work out of) full of " I might use that someday".....I still collect things that are referred to as "still good"

I don't do it near enough.  I need to get rid of plenty of things I don't use.  I just procrastinate on it and end up not doing anything.

In the process of doing that very chore BEHIND my shop.  I want to have a place to store my BH and FEL for the winter.  It amazes me just what I used to consider "keep-able", especially partial cedar planting stakes and shorts of plastic pipe.  27 30# cat litter buckets are also schedualled for dismissal. (Somehow I seem to keep getting them...)

I'm slowly doing it Gerald, I've been in this house for 12 years and I'm amazed at the stuff I've saved and collected.

It's so time to "purge" even more so since I'm considering moving out of this stinking state. No clue where yet, but anywhere has to be better then my over taxed state. You know it's gotten bad when your real estate taxes are more then your mortgage. RE taxes suck here. But some have to pay for the "riders" in life. Cause they sure as hell aren't helping pull the wagon.

O crap, I'm getting political, please don't poke me in the eye or anything. Lol
