I didn't see any mention of safety catches in case of a hose failure. And HF's rubber products have a dismal record IMO.                                                     Mike

Keep your eyes open for unconventional equipment. Years ago I picked up a Bear front end alignment machine with the ramps and pneumatic lifts for $100 delivered. It was the old type and the garage had just bought a new one. They were happy to find someone that wanted it. Unfortunately, I still don't have the room to set it up. I hope to clean out the garage and set it up this year. I've seen several of the car and truck lifts on CL recently for under $1000. There was a small AC fork lift for a few hundred that could have a steel plate added and then act as a lift. There are lots of opportunities out there.  Good Luck, Rick

I just put an old Weaver 2 post above ground car lift up inside my garage this past weekend. bought from CL last fall and did some maintenance on it before I put it up, including my son taking the whole thing (in pieces)  to his job and completely sandblasted and powdercoated it so it looks brand new.   (I wish my son didn't quit that job he had, especially considering the job he replaced it with, which pays less and offers less hours)

I can set a 4X8 piece of 3/4plywood on it, pin the  corners to the arms and raise any GT  on that I will ever see here... in addition to working on my cars.
