I own a simplicity riding mower. Recently had trouble starting-new battery and new spark plug helped the situation. Now the pto won't engage the mowing deck. Any suggestions? Mower number 168882SM

Are you getting 14 volt DC at the clutch?

Did you test for 14VDC at the clutch?

I tested the PTO by wiring directly to the battery.  No response,  Not certain I did it properly.  Still trying to trouble shoot the situation before concluding I need a new PTO.  Not sure how to test for 14VDC at the clutch, but my neighbor is pretty handy and will assist in the AM.  I researched how to check the PTO switch,  ignition, safety switches etc.  Will continue to try a few things before I have to call someone or buy any parts.  I can't afford to pay a repair guy.

I replaced the clutch and no change.  Engine starts, runs and operates.  Still no power to the electronic clutch.  I'll check the pto switch, but I'm running out of things to try and may have to have a pro look at it $$$$$.
