This would be my 6th tractor  :rocker2:

to think last year I was completely unaware of GTs  :rolling:

The seller tells me its 1970 16hp, but thats all I know about it so far. I looked allover to find a model number but cant find one. Its got electric pto and lift system and it runs like a champ. The engine was rebuilt 2 years ago and the starter was also rewired. As for the carb I cleaned it this spring for the previous owner.

I know the pics dont show much but ill add more soon.

I looked on the net and cant find a place to help me identify it. Anyone here knows where I could find clues to help me identify the model?

That looks like an Allis Chalmers symbol on the grill and on the door. Nice find. Good Luck, Rick

Actually I am quite happy with this purchase. 500$ with blower , cab and dozer blade. Since I got it off me neighbour and that I am the dumb and honnest kinda guy. I told him he could fetch close to 1000$ when the snow comes and that he should ask me to sell it for him instead of selling it to me for cheap. Well, he would have none of it. He said he seen me tinker with all the one I got, and, that I told him many times he had a nice machine when I came over to adjust this and that on it. He wanted me to have it and enjoy it the way he has for the past few years. Now I would actually love to keep that GT as my around the house lil bull, but it cant stay here if I dont find a mower for it. Because my tractor needs to have : mower blower and blade (and if it could have a rototiller too, then it would be heaven :dancingbanana: )

OH I should tell you, Up here GTs are in the 1000 and 2000$+ range and not very common, so 500$ is pretty decent. I usually get dead GTs for 200 to 350. After repairs and paint they usually cost me around 450$ and up to 800$ I then sell for 700 to 1500 depending on equipment and model. I want to be the good deal guy and build a reputation as the place to go first.

If it is a 300 or 400 series, you can get both a mower deck and a tiller for it.  Do you have the mid PTO assembly (left side under the seat-ish)?  If you post a photo of left side & rear end, we can tell you if it'll take a mower & / or tiller.

With the cab on, it's hard to tell. But from the headlights and hood, the part of the fender showing, and front axle, I'm gonna guess it's a 400 series. Early 70's model.

If the engine is indeed a 16 hp, and it is original, that would make it a 1973 416.

Is it a hydro or a shuttle shift? Does it have an electronic clutch pto on the front behind the grill?

Can't really see good enough to tell much. Need better pics and more information about features.

If it's truly a 16 hp and it's the original engine, it has to be a 416. The 300 series only went up to 14 hp.

If that last pic says the engine model is a K321 it's a 14hp so the tractors probably a 314. I don't think they made a 414 (anyone???)
