It does seem a challenge to come up with tires for this model and the c195,,,the only rears I have seen are industrial, never seen ags,,I was thinking if I ever got one to just change out the rims to get the tires that are common.

Yes, ag tires for the rear is a challenge due to the 15" rim... I have found them though. Of course they OD of them is 30" if I'm not mistaken, so I'm not sure they would actually fit.

I wonder how they weould look with these (not that I can afford them or anything):

Wow 360+ a tire,,I don't think I would be running out quickly for a set of those. I really like the economy of older stuff but its getting to the point that I really wonder about its value.

That other link didn't work... These are very nicely priced:

Here you can see JLaws put a set on an MTD 990:

I understand completely... I look at it like this. I could pay $1000 for a new junk mower and it will last me 5-10 years and cost just as much for upkeep or I can buy an older piece of iron for $500, put another couple hundred into it and it will last as long as I want to keep replacing parts.... if they are available!

Plus, it's fun to watch people break their neck to check out my mower when they drive by. Some even stop and come talk to me about them.

Yea I hear you, with the exception of the 2010 JD dedicated mower everything else I have here is older,, 84, 75, 73, 49.  I really like the 73 WH 16 Auto, its performed well with the record snowfall this year and its gonna hang around and I might even spring for a cab to fit it for next season.  Glad I was able to save it from the scrapper, I have less than 1K into it (including the tall chute blower and blade) and it works almost as good as a brand new one.  With the coin I saved by not giving JD 10K for an X530, blade and blower I can buy me another WH!

I also hear ye mate. My C160 auto is one of my favorite machines. That little 36 in. blower still throws farther than my Allis but the lil WH was clean and I wouldnt do winter with it. Its sincerely the 2nd best ive owned, after the Bolens 1886
