Picked this up last weekend!  Neat tractor.  Am anxious to see if it will run.  Engine isn't frozen and did crank prior to purchase.  What do you think?

I love it! Looks just like mine! Except yours says Jacobsen on it.
Mine was repainted, and has no decals.
Welcome to Gttalk!

Are you in Ohio?

Joe

Ah heck it has a kohler. Put some fresh gas in it and turn the key. I had a mower that sat in a field for 20 years and the GT was basically falling apart around the motor. I cleaned the carb and put fresh gas in it and it scared me when it fired up because I wasn't expecting it to.

Been there, done that!  I think starting and running after going through the end of the world are what old Kohler's do best.

Thanks for the compliments. Yes, I am in Ohio, near Columbus. Upset because I just missed a 54" snow plow. No one called the guy so he scrapped it. Was for a Ford 195 and was complete. Dang!!!!!

I've always liked that model.  About the size of a compact car and capable of a lot of work.

I hope that it starts with little issue.  It looks like it's in pretty good shape.

That is a good idea to trackdown the scrap yard. I will give the po a call to see if he could give a possibility or two. Thx!!
